The Jakarta Provincial Government, through Disparekraf, aims to increase international tourist visits by participating in ATM Dubai 2024. This premier event, held from May 6-9, 2024, is at the Dubai World Trade Centre. ATM Dubai is one of the largest travel and tourism exhibitions in the Middle East.

Jakarta’s Strategic Participation in ATM Dubai 2024

ATM Dubai attracts over 39,000 professionals from 150 countries. It is an ideal venue for introducing new products and discussing tourism trends. Andhika Permata, Head of Jakarta Tourism and Creative Economy, emphasized, “Our participation expands Jakarta’s reach and strengthens international relations.”

Aligning with National Tourism Objectives

The Jakarta Government’s involvement in ATM Dubai aligns with the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy’s broader objectives. These include increasing visits from Middle Eastern tourists, supporting economic recovery, and creating 4.4 million jobs by 2024. Andhika added, “Jakarta aims to attract 95 to 143 million international tourist visits to Indonesia by 2024.”

Representing Jakarta at the event are five tour operators and three hotels. They offer a range of tailored tour packages specifically designed for the Middle Eastern market. These packages highlight Jakarta’s diverse attractions, including leisure tourism spots like Kepulauan Seribu and Pantai Indah Kapuk. They also focus on sports tourism, particularly golf.

Jakarta’s strategic participation in ATM Dubai 2024 underscores its commitment to boosting international tourist visits. By aligning with national tourism objectives and offering tailored packages, Jakarta aims to attract more visitors from the Middle East.
