Dubai Police, in collaboration with various councils and committees, organized an extensive celebration for Eid Al Adha under the theme “Celebrating Eid Together.” The event took place at the Nuzul Labour Accommodation area in Jebel Ali, involving the active participation of 6,000 workers.

The event featured a wide range of activities, including sports tournaments such as cricket and tug of war. Brigadier Muhammad Abdullah Al Marri, Deputy Director of Jebel Ali Police Station, highlighted that these activities supported Dubai Police’s community outreach efforts.

Awareness Lectures and Safety Procedures

In addition to sports tournaments, the event included lectures on workers’ rights, traffic safety, and emergency contact services. Emergency numbers (999 for emergencies and 901 for non-emergencies) were emphasized for workers’ awareness.

A display of luxury police patrols and performances by the police band added to the festivities. These displays aimed to showcase the capabilities and readiness of Dubai Police. Brigadier Al Marri emphasized that such events enhance communication between the public and Dubai Police, fostering a sense of safety and community.

The event also included lectures introducing various services offered by Dubai Police. Participants learned to access services efficiently via the Dubai Police smart app and the Smart Police Station (SPS). This initiative is part of Dubai Police’s broader strategy to improve accessibility and service delivery.

Promoting Tolerance and Community Communication

Fatima Buhujair, Head of the Positive Spirit Council, stated that the initiative aligns with Dubai Police’s strategic goal of enhancing security and community communication. She highlighted the role of Dubai Police in promoting tolerance, coexistence, dialogue, and respect for others. Buhujair expressed gratitude to everyone who contributed to the success of the events during the Eid Al Adha holiday.

Recognition of Contributions and Volunteers

Towards the conclusion of the event, Brigadier Al Marri honored the competition winners and extended his thanks to the volunteers. He acknowledged their efforts in making the celebrations successful, reinforcing the importance of community support and participation.
