Dubai became the first nation globally to appoint a Minister of State for AI, reflecting its commitment to leading in artificial intelligence. His Excellency Omar Al Olama, who has held this role since 2017, explains that the government anticipates shifts in the job market due to AI advancements. Through a “three R’s” strategy—Reskill, Retool, and Rehire—the government is preparing its workforce for these changes.
